Humanitarian aid to the residents of the Sumy region
Project Goal
- The purpose of this project is to provide humanitarian aid and support to the residents of Sumy, Trostyanets, Boromlya, and Okhtyrka, who have suffered from the Russian invasion and occupation. The project aims to meet the urgent needs of the population by distributing food kits and providing assistance to the most vulnerable individuals and families. In this way, the project strives to alleviate the humanitarian challenges faced by these communities and offer support during difficult times.
Project Description
- As a result of the full-scale invasion, the people of Sumy were surrounded, but they managed to hold out. However, during this difficult period, they faced numerous humanitarian problems. In the face of these obstacles, the volunteers of the NGO “Mercy of Sumy Regin” united and actively worked to provide humanitarian aid to those in need. More than 4,000 food kits were distributed in Sumy.

- After the de-occupation of Trostianets, the residents were in a very difficult situation and needed help. The volunteers of the NGO “Mercy of Sumy Region” did not stand aside and distributed more than 100 food kits to families affected by the Russian occupation.

- Volunteers of the NGO “Mercy of Sumy Region” also visited the village of Boromlya, which suffered from shelling and occupation, where they distributed 60 food kits. Our work was focused on helping the most vulnerable segments of the population in need.

- Okhtyrka is a hero city that bravely resisted the Russian invaders but suffered greatly from constant shelling. After the complete liberation of the region, Okhtyr residents needed humanitarian aid. Volunteers of the “Mercy of Sumy Region” NGO distributed more than 500 food kits and actively provided assistance to the residents of Okhtyrka.
